IT Consultant, Systems Analyst
GovCIO is currently hiring a Performance User Experience Specialist to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Candidates must have experience with VA IT services. This position will be fully remote located within the United States.
Responsibilities- Conduct operational efficiency reviews to identify product team capabilities and pain points, ensuring efficient software delivery, while providing actionable insights and continuous progress reports to executives.
- Facilitate cross‑organizational coordination to optimize resources, avoid duplication, and ensure alignment across teams for streamlined delivery of Veteran‑focused IT services.
- Develop and implement a formal decommissioning strategy, tailored strategies for VA Product Managers to support system rationalization and minimize resistance.
- Establish and operationalize Strike Teams to drive decommissioning efforts, defining roles and responsibilities for SMEs and delivering individualized plans to streamline the transition and eliminate legacy systems.
- Finalize and publish the Rationalization & Decommissioning Roadmap, ensuring clear paths for each product and capability, while aligning all stakeholders to support the decommissioning process and modernizing VA's IT infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience (10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education).
- Experience working in Jira and Microsoft Suite.
- Power BI experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be a problem solver.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability / Public Trust clearance.
