DevOps Engineer - Latam

IDT is looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join us remotely from LATAM
. This position is open only to applicants residing in LATAM.

• Design, implement, and manage infrastructure running Kubernetes in public and private cloud, maintaining and supporting Hashicorp Vault and Consul.
• Develop and maintain robust infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure As A Code, and develop automation scripts and tools for system provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand software development and deployment requirements, and provide technical guidance on infrastructure and Dev Ops best practices.
• Continuously monitor and analyze system performance metrics, and implement improvements to enhance scalability, availability, and security.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, including performance bottlenecks, network connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities by implementing backup, failover, and recovery mechanisms.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Conduct regular system audits and maintain documentation regarding infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on infrastructure and Dev Ops processes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Hashicorp Vault and Consul, including managing secrets, access controls, and service discovery.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure‑as‑code principles and experience with tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Circle
  
  CI.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Hashicorp products, or related technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Docker Swarm or Red Hat Open Shift.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and related technologies such as service meshes (e.g., Istio).
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and Dev Ops principles.
