Strategic Solutions Group LLC, Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (Needham, MA- REMOTE):

Lead Quality Assurance Engineer in Remote. Responsible for providing custom product configurations, test automation, quality assurance support, executing testing processes and other quality assurance protocols to ensure quality of public health and public safety IT solutions projects.

Duties include:

• Lead team in the execution of tests, evaluate results and problems in a timely manner, and assist in problem resolution;
• Collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, business owners to define and document test cases, scenarios, and scripts in alignment with business and system requirements;
• Lead and perform execution of tests, evaluate results and problems, assist in problem resolution;
• Provide input for testing strategies, scope, and scenarios;
• Assist in managing small team of QA engineers in their duties;
• Provide input for testing-related estimates of effort, duration, and resource utilization;
• Create test data necessary for test execution;
• Create automated test scripts and mentor team members on best practices;
• Create and maintain performance test scripts;
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium Web Driver;
• Ensure functionality coded by development team adheres to business requirements and standards (ADA, security, etc.);
• Maintain test plans, test cases, and test case library;
• Identify, record, investigate and analyze problems found, and track status of defects and verify the resolution during testing life cycle;
• Provide reports containing test metrics and status to management Team;
• Support QA Division process planning and execution; and
• Support QA Division resource hiring, training and development.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field and seven (7) years of quality assurance engineering/testing experience; or a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in same and five (5) years of quality assurance engineering/testing experience; or alternatively, nine (9) years of quality assurance engineering/testing experience.

Must have 5 years of experience (may be gained concurrently with above) with:

- Testing and automating REST APIs using SOAP UI or Postman.

- Developing, maintaining and executing Java based Automated test Scripts using Selenium Web Driver.

- Designing, executing and managing automated test suites, including features such as parallel test execution, data-driven testing, and comprehensive test reporting.

- Creating automated CI/CD pipeline for running automated tests via Git Lab, and performing test management using Test Mo, Test Rail or similar tools for efficient test case management and tracking.

- Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data validation and testing purposes, while working in a Postgre

SQL or Oracle database environment.

• Utilizing JIRA as the primary platform for in-sprint test management and bug tracking, while performing thorough requirement and root cause analysis.

This is a telecommuting position working from home, with ability to reside anywhere within the U.S.
