• A highly skilled Senior Software/Systems Architect with deep expertise in Keysight Ixia technologies to support the enterprise monitoring and cybersecurity initiatives.
• This role will lead the design, integration, and optimization of network observability solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure across sites.
• Architect and implement Keysight ixia packet broker configurations to aggregate, filter, and distribute network traffic to monitoring and security tools.
• Lead the integration of Keysight ixia with tools such as Fore Scout, Splunk, and Palo Alto IPS to enhance visibility and threat detection across VA networks.
• Support clustering, port mapping, license management, and SSL certificate remediation for Ixia appliances.
• Collaborate with VA's Event and Incident Management teams to ensure accurate data flow and optimized network performance.
• Maintain and update the Monitoring Service Registry (MSR) with current architecture and system configurations.
• Provide technical leadership in the development of service-level metrics and KPIs for critical business transactions and infrastructure components.
• Participate in VA-wide refresh and upgrade projects involving Keysight Ixia, Fore Scout, and other observability platforms.
• Document architectural decisions, configurations, and procedures to support standardization and compliance.

• Proven experience configuring and managing Keysight ixia packet brokers (e.g., Vision ONE, Vision X, Ixia Fabric Controller), including clustering and port optimization.
• Familiarity with VA systems and security requirements, including TLS/SSL remediation and EHRM Joint Security Architecture support.
• Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, Service Now, and Fore Scout integration.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments, network security, and telemetry pipelines.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in plain language.

• Experience supporting VA or other federal healthcare IT environments.
• Knowledge of Service Now CMDB and integration workflows.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto IPS, Net Scout, and Keysight TAPs.

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discpline, or equivalent PLUS
  10 Years of experience.
• Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

• The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation.

• Remote, USA.
• Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST).

• The pay for this position ranges from $90,730 to $103,500.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
