Combining small-team flexibility with global scale, IEX leverages emerging technologies to provide innovative, user-focused solutions that empower organizations and end users to operate smarter, faster, and more securely in dynamic environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mission Manager will serve as the primary liaison between a Special Operations customer and technical product teams. This is a hybrid role located in Virginia Beach with the option for flex hours.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Mission Manager, you will play a hands-on role in product marketing and training documentation, translate user needs into technical requirements, and drive the adoption and enhancement of critical operational tools. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, exceptional communication skills, and a deep sense of user empathy/advocacy to spark and engage user communities, ensuring the seamless delivery of capabilities that support mission-critical operations.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

* Serve as the primary point of contact between operational users (at both a senior leadership and individual user level), development teams, and external partners.

* Elicit, capture, and translate customer needs into actionable development tickets using JIRA, and prioritize requirements for Program Increment (PI) planning.

* Create and manage marketing materials, user guides, and documentation to engage the user community and communicate successes.

* Oversee access control for critical systems data management systems, managing user permissions, delegates, and security updates to ensure data integrity in close coordination with customer leadership.

* Coordinate and participate in the user acceptance testing (UAT) of new features and system upgrades.

* Develop, update, and deliver training materials for operational tools; provide hands-on training and "train the trainer" support to accelerate user adoption.

* Facilitate meetings, gather feedback, and ensure transparent communication, particularly during system outages or deployments.

* Identify and address workflow inefficiencies by facilitating the integration of new tools and features that drive mission success.

* Track and report on system performance and usage metrics to inform decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Highly empathetic to user needs and consistently professional, with a strong understanding of customer culture and political dynamics. Prior mission-supporting or intelligence analytical experience is highly desired.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to reach out, listen, and distill information from audiences that may not know how to communicate their technical needs.

* Proven networking ability to collect customer contacts, build trust, and maintain relationships within communities where trust is critical but difficult to gain.

* Experience with project coordination, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management, preferably within an Agile framework.

* A baseline understanding of the software development lifecycle; ability to create user-facing basic documentation for and explain software and products is essential.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a "figure-it-out" mindset.

* Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic team environments.

* U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.

* Experience with requirements gathering, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

* Clearance:
Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.

* Experience:

8+ years of experience working in a mission-forward environment or with the Intelligence Community

* Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

* Role requirements:

Hybrid work environment with 4 days on site at Virginia Beach location and one day Work From Home (WFH)

* Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role
