Head of Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure for our systems. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of our applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee and optimize the maintenance of both Azure cloud‑based infrastructure and dedicated servers housed in co‑location facilities, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  Important: occasional off‑hours availability may be required for critical incident response.
• Technical Solution Development: Architect and implement advanced technical solutions for building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, resolving infrastructure‑related challenges, and integrating innovative tools to streamline operations.
• Tool Creation and Management: Design and develop bespoke tools and solutions for the effective management, monitoring, and scaling of our expanding infrastructure and operational processes, enhancing overall system efficiency.
• Proactive System Monitoring: Employ advanced monitoring techniques to continuously assess both software and hardware systems, identifying and mitigating potential issues proactively to safeguard uninterrupted business operations.
• Process Automation: Engineer and implement sophisticated automation strategies to minimize manual intervention, reduce the risk of human error, and enhance the efficiency and consistency of operational workflows.
• Team Lead Responsibilities: Serve as a Team Lead by providing guidance and support to the Dev Ops team on complex tasks, ensuring effective task allocation, and promoting collaboration. The role includes mentoring team members, facilitating knowledge sharing, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the team meets key performance goals. The Dev Ops Team Lead will also assist in troubleshooting critical issues, making technical decisions, and ensuring efficient delivery of infrastructure and automation solutions.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Work experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Knowledge of modern development tools and workflows (e.g., Git, Containers).
