Technical Writer, B2B SaaS Environment / Remote
Our client, Experian, one of the largest credit reporting companies in the US, is hiring a Technical Writer to join their team remotely!
This team collaborates with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to create clear, concise, and impactful documentation for internal and external teams developing B2B SaaS products. This role will focus on scaling their documentation, creating engaging and informative content for developers using our APIs and platform.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience developing technical writing content for B2B SaaS platforms in the past!
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing, especially within B2B SaaS environments.
- Strong technical writing skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise documentation.
- Expertise in API documentation and a deep understanding of software development processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as Markdown, Git, and JIRA.
- Experience with modern development workflows and an ability to work within a "docs-as-code" environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams including developers, engineers, and product managers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What You’ll Do:
- Document New Products and Features:
Work closely with engineering and product teams to create documentation for new product features, API updates, and integrations. - Create Scalable Content:
Develop and maintain long-term content strategies that organize and make documentation easily discoverable for developers. - Drive Documentation Quality:
Ensure content accuracy and clarity by conducting regular content reviews and maintaining high documentation standards. - Collaborate Across Teams:
Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, customer support, and other stakeholders to ensure technical content meets the needs of users and developers. - Advocate for Best Practices:
Establish writing standards and best practices for internal and external documentation to ensure consistency and usability. - Contribute to Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in existing content, processes, and tools, and implement enhancements to streamline documentation workflows.
