We are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Accessibility Associate to ensure that all Arizonans have equal access to critical government resources by transforming PDFs into fully compliant, accessible documents.

As a Digital Accessibility Associate, you will be responsible for document remediation, ensuring our digital documents adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA and PDF/UA standards. Your work will directly impact individuals using screen readers and other assistive technologies, removing barriers and enabling access to vital information.

• Utilize software tools like Grackle and Adobe Acrobat Pro to address accessibility issues in PDF documents.
• Add tags, ensure correct reading order, provide alt text for images, and fix structural problems to meet accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with project requirements and standards.

• Eagle-eyed attention to detail and precision.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex layout puzzles.
• Quick learner with proficiency in software tools.
• Process-driven, with a strong understanding of accessibility standards.
• Experience with business software applications.

• Experience in building web pages or knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Familiarity with Title II of the ADA and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
• Accessibility certifications such as IAAP CPACC.
• Experience with Grackle and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work following an initial 1-2 week in-person training period at the Department of Revenue. The assignment is full-time for three months.
