Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer Automated 3 to join a dynamic team in Austin, Texas. This role will focus on designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions to ensure high-quality software delivery.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automated testing, test planning, and software quality processes, along with strong analytical and collaboration skills. This is a hybrid role, requiring both onsite and remote work.

Work Schedule
  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote (subject to change)
  • Estimated Hours: Up to 696 hours
  • Candidate Requirement: Must reside in Texas within the Austin area
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance
  • Determine test priorities and create detailed execution plans
  • Coordinate and perform work on moderately to highly complex QA and programming projects
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
  • Execute functional, application, and regression testing
  • Analyze proposed applications for inclusion in regression test suites
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in automated scripts and software systems
  • Analyze and revise applications to improve efficiency and adapt to new requirements
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including test plans, diagrams, and validation procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders during test cycles
Required Qualifications (8+ Years Experience)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automated test scripts
  • Strong background in prioritizing test scenarios and building execution strategies
  • Extensive experience creating test plans, test cases, and managing test environments
  • Expertise in functional, regression, and application testing
  • In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and development methodologies
  • Ability to interpret requirements and update test documentation accordingly
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and customers during testing cycles
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and related documentation
  • Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and data management methodologies
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging software technologies and infrastructure environments
