The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a PC Network Support Technician 3 to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Clearfield, UT location.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work on-site.
Responsibilities- Conduct a continuous monitoring program for all off network (enclaved) computers
- Coordinate with local operations supervisors to schedule patching, virus updates and other hardware and software support for all unclassified off-net and advanced manufacturing computers around shop floor production schedule to eliminate/minimize production downtime and ensure no lost product due to unexpected/unplanned IT activities
- Perform monthly patching, virus updates and other hardware and software support per DFARS and CMMC controls and requirements.
- Provide off‑hour on‑call support and after‑hours and/or weekend work based on shop floor production schedule when required
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, hardware, software and systems installs for all shop floor computers
- Perform advanced off‑net and shop floor systems support for server and system administration
- Perform network technician/hands‑on support for network teams to support connectivity to network and troubleshoot (check ports, patch‑thru’s, basic port‑config)
- Work with local Facilities Engineering/Operations/Manufacturing and Process Engineering to help create configurations and BOMs for new hardware and software that need to be purchased as part of a shop floor equipment purchase and/or capital/facilities request
- Work with Info Sec and local business leadership to support audits and audit findings on off‑net equipment
- Work with Info Sec to ensure compliance with DFARS and CMMC requirements and controls
- Work with equipment vendors to update hardware, software and connectivity to the equipment
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot problem.
- Work with network engineering and cybersecurity to create and maintain firewall rules for manufacturing computers.
- Ensure system, configurations, data etc. are backed up and secure for D purposes.
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. and spend an entire work day on their feet (walking, standing, crawling under desks).
- High School diploma and 4 years of relevant experience; OR an Associates degree and 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience is required
- Candidate must have a Security+ certification or greater in order to be considered
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Product Suites, and remote deployment methods
- Associate’s degree
- 3 years of experience with IT related hardware in a classified environment
- Current HW and/or SW Vendor Certifications
- Proficiency in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs, via SCCM or Power Shell
- Experience supporting a VMWare VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) with thin clients
- Experience with Active Directory, configuring user and computer accounts
- Operating System Cross‑platform awareness (i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
- Knowledge of supporting a VMWare VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Service Now, JIRA)
Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00
