GRC Analyst Internship; remote

Ruleset Security is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Analyst. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management. As a GRC Analyst Intern at Ruleset Security, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support the development and implementation of governance, risk, and compliance programs. You will gain valuable experience in conducting risk assessments, supporting compliance initiatives, and helping clients maintain security standards. This role will provide you with the foundational skills necessary for a career in cybersecurity and compliance.

• Assist in performing risk assessments and evaluating client security policies and controls.
• Support the development and maintenance of compliance documentation for frameworks like SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
• Help identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Participate in audits and assessments of client environments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with senior team members on GRC initiatives and assist in preparing reports and recommendations for clients.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging cybersecurity risks, industry standards, and best practices.
• Learn how to use GRC tools and platforms to monitor and manage compliance efforts.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in governance, risk management, and compliance within cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with common compliance frameworks such as SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, risks, and controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and GRC tools is a plus.
