IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
KMHA is seeking a full-time Healthcare IT Project Manager (HCIT PM) to join our organization in a key role supporting our Healthcare IT projects. This is a remote position with the opportunity to work for an innovative, supportive, and mission-driven company in the healthcare technology space. Prior healthcare industry experience is a plus.
The HCIT Project Manager oversees each phase of assigned Healthcare IT projects and leads project teams to ensure effective, efficient, and responsible implementation while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities- Understand project scope, deliverables, constraints, and client needs
- Partner with sales/order/vetting teams to verify sales orders
- Build and maintain high-quality customer and team relationships
- Communicate effectively using online tools, phone, and various applications
- Foster a strong, collaborative team environment
- Coordinate and facilitate recurring team and customer-facing meetings
- Use project tracking tools effectively (e.g., tracking logs, MS Project)
- Create project Statements of Work
- Monitor and control project scope
- Achieve project milestones and manage signoffs
- Assess, track, and report project risks
- Establish and monitor actions, action owners, and projections
- Manage overall project projections
- Transition implemented projects to support teams effectively
- Develop working knowledge of technical and application terminology
- Work with radiologists, managers, technical staff, and application resources to mitigate issues
- Escalate issues appropriately to leadership
- Manage availability and calendars to perform effectively in the role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, healthcare, leadership, management, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in project management, leadership, or strategic planning
- Clinical, RIS/PACS, application, or technical experience
- Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, ADT, or similar connectivity/communication protocols
- PMP or similar certification
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
- Reliable high-speed internet (for remote work)
- Consistent availability to perform the role effectively
