Position: Web Designer & Word Press Producer

Classification: Full-Time

Location: Fully Remote (work from anywhere but you must have access to a quiet workspace for video calls)

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

About the Position

The Web Designer & Word Press Producer plays a pivotal role in ensuring our client website projects are consistently delivered to a high standard. You’ll take on a range of design and production responsibilities with a strong focus on UX/UI and content design
—translating project goals into intuitive layouts and appealing visuals.

You’ll work on a variety of website projects but our most active verticals are nonprofits serving vulnerable children, families and communities. This includes rescue missions, child welfare organizations, foster/adoptive services, rare disease communities and other similar verticals of purposeful organizations.

You’ll work alongside our website strategist, other designers, developers, and copywriters to plan each project, develop wireframes, and unify all design elements into a polished, cohesive final product. As part of this process, you’ll also interact directly with clients via video calls to gather content, present designs, and incorporate feedback.

Most of your work will be in Figma (for conceptual design, wire framing, and mockups) and Beaver Builder (for page creation and styling in Word Press). Prior experience with one or both tools is a major plus. While the role is primarily tactical
, you’ll be expected to apply strategic thinking when making content layout and UX/UI decisions, ensuring each site meets user needs and aligns with best practices.

Attention to detail is critical—you’ll be the final set of eyes making sure each website is thoroughly tested, polished, and ready for launch.

This is a full-time, salaried position with generous flexible PTO and a culture that fosters lifelong learning
. Because we’re a fully remote team, you’ll have the flexibility to skip the commute—yet you should be comfortable self-managing your workload and staying connected through video calls and online collaboration tools.

If you’re excited about shaping user-friendly websites, collaborating with a supportive team, and helping clients bring their ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you!

Design & Layout Websites

  • Craft intuitive wireframes, mockups, and final page layouts in Word Press, focusing on clear content hierarchy, conventional web patterns, and best practices for readability and user flow.
  • Oversee full-page layout design decisions using a mixture of pre-designed and custom row layouts.
  • Assist with formatting images and creating/modifying icons and small web graphics.
  • Stay up-to-date on current website trends and best practices, offering ideas for improvement and innovation.
  • Use Word Press page builders (e.g., Beaver Builder, Elementor) to create and edit pages.
  • Set up forms, plugins, third-party integrations (Zapier, Convert Box, etc.), analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar), and CRM connections.
  • Execute routine SEO tasks such as creating 301 redirects, configuring meta titles and descriptions, and installing SEO plugins.
  • Note: most website production tasks will not require extensive code knowledge (although familiarity with basic CSS/HTML is a plus)
  • Lead 15-minute client “pulse calls” to gather content assets, provide project updates, and maintain clear communication.
  • Train clients on updating and maintaining their websites post-launch, ensuring they feel confident making routine changes.
  • Assist with client onboarding , including updating website briefs, creating launch plans, and organizing project details in our PM systems.

Content Coordination

  • Create content inventories from sitemaps and help clients gather and organize their website copy and media.
  • Ensure content is appropriately structured and flows logically within each page layout.

Quality Assurance

  • Run QA reviews before launches or major milestones, verifying layout consistency, functionality, and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues and collaborate on solutions.
