SUMMARY:

• The Lead Senior Engineer is responsible for applying software engineering techniques and industry best practices to solve clear business problems
• These techniques include but are not limited to analysis design documenting testing and maintaining moderately complex applications andor systems
• This role will collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to design test and maintain flexible fulfillment ecommerce applications and systems specifically related to IBM Sterling Order Management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in formal design sessions with both onsite and offshore teams
• Development activities related to IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management configuration and customization
• Participate in the oncall rotation for production support
• Ability to lead and participate in the development configuration and performance tuning of systems
• Adopt best practices and coding standards and perform code reviews
• Provide detailed weekly task reports to reporting manager
• Development activities related to Spring boot and other java related technologies good to have
• Quality on time delivery of committed deliverables
• Flexible in working under changing and uncertain work schedules

SKILLS:

• Deep understanding of Sterling OMS functions Sourcing Scheduling Inventory Payments SDF Custom APIs SOM
• Cloud knowledge especially sterling containerization OMOC experience is also acceptable
• Sterling build and deployment process
• Hands on coding experience using Java
• BS or MS in Computer Science Information Systems IT or related field
• 7 years Software Development experience with at least 5 years of recent development in Sterling commerce version 10
• Hands on experience with public cloud and containerized version of sterling OMS
• Clear understanding of sterling build and deployment process
• Technology experience with B2C web commerce software and order fulfillment distribution center systems a plus
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
• Performance tuning experience is a plus
• Proven track record of delivery in applications with large volume high availability enterprise applications
