GLOBAL DATA SCIENTIST – MARKETING MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION (Remote)

Remote (United States or Canada). The position is open immediately.

Position Overview
This Global Data Scientist will lead projects that improve the understanding of short- and long-term marketing effectiveness, build predictive models, and provide a holistic view of marketing drivers to enable smarter decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of next-generation media measurement and optimization capabilities.
• Integrate marketing mix, long-term brand equity measurement, and in-flight measurement (e.g., lift studies, A/B testing) into comprehensive models.
• Develop media-driven volume forecasting tools for McCormick’s demand forecasting platform.
• Identify and adopt new tools and approaches through external connections.
• Serve as lead consultant for outsourced models, ensuring technical methodology alignment and integration.
• Create training content to empower business partners to use marketing optimization tools effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of data science experience; media analytics exposure is a plus.
• Strong understanding of marketing and sales concepts and principles.
• Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, generate insights, and build robust statistical models.
• Experience building dashboards for business users (Power BI preferred).
• Expertise in SQL and Python coding.
• Experience building data models, machine learning, and AI solutions.
• Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
• Demonstrated project leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical curiosity, problem‑solving skills, and business insight.
• Aggressive learning mindset and ability to quickly adopt new tools.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (0‑5%).
• Attention to detail and bias toward action.
• Preferred: CPG or Food/Bev industry experience.
• Preferred:
  Understanding of Marketing Mix Modeling, Lift, A/B testing, and creative testing tools.
