OutSystems Lead

Are you a hands-on Out Systems expert who enjoys leading from the front? We’re looking for a Out Systems Lead Developer (OS11) to take ownership of building scalable, enterprise-level applications while mentoring a team and shaping technical direction.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications on Out Systems 11
• Own end-to-end delivery with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
• Mentor and guide a small team of developers (task planning, coaching, technical leadership)
• Establish and enforce Out Systems architecture best practices, including:
  • Multi-layered architecture (Core, Foundation, End-User)
  • Modular, reusable component design
  • Service decomposition and dependency management
• Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, driving continuous improvement
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards for quality and maintainability
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications for reliability and performance
• Help define and evolve coding standards, ALM practices, and environment strategy
• Stay current on platform updates and emerging trends

• 5+ years of Out Systems development experience, including 2+ years with OS11
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, enterprise applications
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide developers
• Deep expertise in:
  • Out Systems architecture (layered design, modularization, dependencies)
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Technical debt assessment and remediation
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling, and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

• Out Systems certifications (Professional Developer, Architecture Specialist, etc.)
• Experience integrating with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Out Systems

• Lead meaningful, enterprise-scale initiatives
• Influence architecture and technical direction
• Work with a collaborative, high-performing team
• Stay hands-on while growing your leadership impact

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
