Overview
Senior Security Engineer (IS – Identity & Access Management) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable IAM solutions across hybrid environments, steering modernization toward Zero Trust and cloud-based identity models while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable IAM solutions across hybrid environments.
- Engineer automated identity processes and strengthen access governance and privileged access controls.
- Integrate AI‑enabled capabilities to enhance security and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to assess and mitigate identity‑related risks.
- Implement monitoring and automated response for identity threats.
- Contribute to technology evaluation, innovation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of related experience.
- Experience collaborating on security solution designs for TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switching, routing, VoIP, firewalls, VPN, IPS, vulnerability assessment, and patch management.
- Functional experience designing security controls for operating systems, databases, applications, web services, user devices, and wireless networks.
- 6+ years of Identity & Access Management experience in enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting an environment with over 10,000 accounts.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Upon hire: CISSP, CIAM, Identity or Security related certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, ISO and other compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience with IAM solutions in hybrid Active Directory and cloud (Microsoft Entra /Azure AD).
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, least privilege, and identity governance.
- Hands‑on experience with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP).
- Experience with automation & scripting (Power Shell, Python, Microsoft Graph API).
- Experience building automated identity workflows (Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, etc.).
- Experience leveraging AI‑assisted tools for automation and security operations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
Full‑time position with multiple shifts available.
Requires rotational on‑call schedule outside of standard business hours, plus flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Remote work available for applicants residing in Oregon, Washington, and California.
SalaryCompetitive base pay based on location and experience; additional compensation for shift differentials, on‑call bonuses, overtime, and other incentives.
