We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Controls Management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive large, strategic, and complex projects that will shape the future of Optro’s Audit products. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional leadership, empathy, and a passion for mentoring engineers to design and architect scalable, performant, and reliable solutions. - Lead the technical direction and execution for Optro’s Controls Management initiatives.
- Mentor, inspire, and grow a diverse team of engineers with empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Manage and develop the team through hiring, retaining, mentoring, and building individual and team capabilities in best practices.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with Product, QA, Delivery, Design, Customer Support, GTM, and other partners to deliver best-in-class experiences for users.
- Own the end-to-end build and delivery of Controls Management features within Optro’s platform.
- Continuously improve all aspects of the product lifecycle, both technical systems and processes, to deliver outstanding results for customers.
- Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams and product lines.
- Collaborate with Product Management to define goals, objectives, and the roadmap for Controls Management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Iterate and improve agile practices to ensure clarity, transparency, and efficient delivery across the team and organization.
- Experience in performance management.
- Experience in running agile teams and managing delivery processes.
- 5+ years of experience developing modern tech stacks.
- 2+ years managing a development team, specifically in a SaaS environment.
- Modern JS Framework
Experience:
familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (Ember preferred; Vue, React, Angular, etc. are valuable for front-end collaboration).
- Experience in a highly regulated ARC (Audit, Risk, and Compliance) environment.
- Managed remote or distributed teams.
- Experience in an agile development environment with modern project management tools.
- Strong B2B experience.
