Cybersecurity Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) team. The intern will assist in threat hunting, incident response (IR), and other cybersecurity activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in the field of cybersecurity.

This role is part of the BD Skill Bridge Fellowship Program. Skill Bridge participants are not eligible for compensation or benefits from BD, and continue to receive military compensation during their last 6 months of service. After successful completion, there may be an opportunity to be considered for a full‑time position, depending on business needs.

• Must meet all Department of Defense Skill Bridge Eligibility requirements and be approved to participate in the program with your military installation command.

The role is an in‑office position based in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Skill Bridge participants may work remotely during the fellowship, with the expectation that they can transition to an in‑office schedule in Franklin Lakes, NJ if hired full‑time.

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents.
• Participate in threat hunting activities to identify potential security threats.
• Support incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security operations policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve security posture and incident response capabilities.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to analyze security data and conduct basic threat hunting and research on emerging vulnerabilities.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to support team‑based incident response and contribute to security policies and procedures.

• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity operations, including security event monitoring, threat detection, and incident response processes.
