The Position
Are you passionate about cross applications integration and solutions management? Find your chance to thrive in this Applications Developer 2 position with our Employment Banking and Revenue IT Delivery Center (E DC) Solutions Management - Cross Application Integration Division. With our team, you will serve as a mid-level administrator for our enterprise scanning solution, Datacap, and enterprise content management system, File Net, leading all aspects of installation, configuration, documentation, testing, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, problem resolution tracking, and support for both products.
This position gives you the opportunity to collaborate with multiple project teams and solve interesting challenges every day, supporting the IT needs of government Employment, Banking, and Revenue programs that serve communities across the state.
As an Applications Developer 2, your work will focus on supporting the Datacap and File Net products and infrastructure that manage and organize important digitally stored documents for the E DC. We rely on you to work with a variety of technical teams to ensure these systems run smoothly and meet the needs of many projects.
- Mid‑Level IT Administration:
Help install, maintain, configure, document, upgrade, and monitor Datacap and File Net development and functionality across all environments. - Technical
Collaboration:
Assist teams from multiple functional areas in completing projects that meet the scanning and content management requirements of enterprise business needs. - Project Development:
Contribute to discussions about agency utilization of Datacap and File Net; assist in the coordination and implementation of new projects, changes to current projects, and standards for product use. - User Support:
Solve problems of average complexity including routine day‑to‑day problems or performance issues raised by users; work with vendor staff to troubleshoot and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner. - Product Knowledge:
Maintain familiarity with Datacap and File Net versions, research potential upgrades and recognize impacts to business processes.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time. This position currently reports to the office on Wednesday and Thursday each week. Telework requires a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable. - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
- One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
- Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor’s degree in any information technology field (applicants are considered to have met the educational requirements once within three months of graduating).
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
