Job Description Are you interested in transitioning from your current position as a clerk to a role as a digital Reporter? The role of a Clerk - Digital Reporter ("DR") is to officiate a civil litigation proceeding and to capture proceeding content, including witness testimony.

The Digital Reporter is responsible for:
* Managing proceedings as an independent custodian of the record.
* Administering oaths to witnesses and performing duties as a State Notary.
* Capturing clear and thorough recordings of the proceedings using high-fidelity audio technology.
* Creating accurate and detailed annotations of case events and terminology for subsequent transcription guidance.
* Ability to conduct thorough research and verify information from multiple sources.
* Familiarity with digital databases and online research tools.

Requirement:
* State Notary Commission or eligibility to obtain it
* Possess or have the ability to obtain certification/state licensure (in required states)
* Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, U.S. civil proceedings
* Ownership of or willingness to acquire digital reporting equipment
* Confidence to moderate live legal proceedings
* Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing
* Proficient with technology, including strong keyboard skills
* Professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and presentability
* Willingness to work as an independent contractor

* Note:

No shorthand nor stenography is required
* Willing to work both remotely and in person.
