Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Labcorp is seeking a remote User Acceptance Testing Analyst (UAT) to join our team.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST. Remote roles:
Applicants who live within a commutable distance of Burlington, NC or Durham, NC will follow a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three in-office days per week at the assigned location. This schedule supports collaboration and flexibility.
- Analyzes and evaluates complex billing system enhancement projects and testing assignments. Validate complex enhancements to identify and measure process impacts, financial implications, and technical applications.
- Participate in requirement sessions with business operations and IT to define and document business requirements.
- Troubleshoot system issues for resolution.
- Maintain a log of tested data displaying passes, fails, and defects identified; determine defect type, severity, and frequency.
- Create and execute User Acceptance testing plans that integrate business, functional, and technical components.
- Confirm requirements based on the project and conduct end-to-end integration testing to ensure software meets requirements and expectations.
- Document test results and review with business end users for approval; create and present Test Strategies and Test Summaries.
- Use system tools and resources to conduct data analysis and system validation for assigned projects.
- Assist with the preparation of user documentation, perform demos and training for system enhancements.
- Propose recommendations including data analysis and evaluation; identify potential roadblocks and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst and Software Developer for requirements and issue clarification.
- Act as a voice for business users when vetting issues with IT; coordinate tasks on large projects involving multiple analysts.
- Create test strategies and test summaries for major system releases; lead meetings and release/status calls in the absence of management.
- Lead standardization efforts and coordinate new methodologies across large projects/releases; work independently with minimal guidance.
- Create and maintain departmental guidelines; mentor junior analysts and lead other billing test system analysts as required.
- Review and peer review test plans before approval.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 6 years of User Acceptance Testing and System Validation; or Associate degree with 8 years of same experience; or HS diploma or GED with 10 years of same experience required.
Preferred Qualifications- 6+ years understanding of Revenue Cycle Management in the Health Care industry, including HIPAA.
- 5+ years knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel).
- 3+ years web testing using JSON.
- 3+ years EDI X12 Transaction Set experience.
- 4+ years experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, HEAT, SBM, Hospital and HL7).
- 4+ years processing map (flowchart) current and future state software changes.
- 3+ years UAT testing utilizing various testing techniques, methodologies, tools (Selenium, QC ALM, SQL and database queries).
- 3+ years knowledge of Core Labcorp systems.
The UAT Analyst III serves as a senior testing resource and subject‑matter expert, leading complex User Acceptance Testing initiatives and ensuring business readiness for high‑visibility, high‑risk system implementations. This role owns the UAT strategy, mentors junior analysts, partners with business and IT leadership, and drives testing across large‑scale, mission‑critical projects.
Pay Range: $65-90K
