GDS System Trainer (On‑site, Virginia Beach, VA)

• Deliver comprehensive end‑to‑end process training for team members, focusing on GDS platforms and TMC processes.
• Develop training materials, documentation, and presentations for GDS systems (Worldspan and Travelport+).
• Ensure training aligns with key performance indicators (KPIs) and other deliverables for effective learning and development.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance throughput and optimize training processes.
• Monitor, assess, and report on training effectiveness, adjusting as needed to meet team and company objectives.
• Facilitate training sessions, including live (in‑person and virtual) training and e‑learning modules.
• Proactively identify training needs based on performance metrics and deliver solutions accordingly.
• Stay current with industry trends, GDS advancements, and travel management best practices.
• Create dynamic and engaging training content and presentations.
• Collaborate with other trainers, managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality and consistency of training programs.
• Serve as backup consultant for other accounts/clients, as assigned.
• Be amenable to remote work from a designated home office with occasional travel to training sites.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2‑3 years of experience in training and development within the travel industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical and non‑technical users.
• Previous experience in training, preferably in the travel industry or GDS systems.
• Proficiency in using and teaching GDS systems such as Worldspan, Travelport+, Sabre, Galileo, or Amadeus.
• Strong familiarity with team travel processes and TMC operations.
• In‑depth understanding of training KPIs and deliverables.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver higher throughput and training effectiveness.
• Experience designing and delivering end‑to‑end process training in a travel‑related environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e‑learning platforms.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
