Senior Data Engineer – Home based

The position is a home based role for a Senior Data Engineer.

• Lead a small team of Azure Data Engineers
• Create and support Azure Pipelines and Logic Apps
• Ensure coding and deployment standards within the engineering team
• Work with the applications and database team to meet key business strategies and objectives
• Develop the data warehouse to encompass more sources and additional datasets
• Create and maintain SQL procedures, User Defined Functions, and Views to support new and existing reporting requirements
• Proactively improve the performance, logical structure, physical structure, and availability of the Data Warehouse and other reporting environments
• Resolve data inconsistencies
• Build and maintain data reporting environments
• Use SQL services to support existing business solutions and technologies
• Manage standards within the development team
• Support the build and maintenance of Data Flows and Integrations
• Create and maintain complex SQL objects
• Provide application and reporting development services and support
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments
• Comply with documented quality standards and methods for development
• Participate in team code reviews
• Manage deployment and coordinate work across engineers
• Ensure core applications and strategies are aligned

• Experience in Azure Synapse and Fabric
• Experience in Microsoft SQL development, SQL applications support or a similar role
• Hands on experience with SQL 2016 onwards
• Experience in creating support documentation
• Experience in managing and maintaining SQL object database security SQL
• Expert knowledge of Azure Synapse / Fabric
• Expert knowledge in transactional SQL, stored procedures, views and user defined functions
