Position: Webfocus Report Developer (Information Technology Analyst 3)

The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office (ITO) is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join a high‑performing team in delivering reports that meet coding and design standards for maintainability, usability, performance, security and accessibility. This individual will work closely with team members, management and users to design, develop, support and enhance Judiciary Business Intelligence solutions.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $91,466.95 to $ for Schedule A, and $91,466.95 to $ for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Beneficiaries hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

A. Newly hired individuals and employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

Remote Work

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high‑speed home internet access.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build and deploy reports that address business requirements using Business Intelligence tools such as WebFOCUS, Tableau or Power

    BI.
  • Create and maintain an ad‑hoc reporting environment for users.
  • Plan and manage user requirement gathering sessions to understand requirements.
  • Provide production support for the current Business Intelligence environment.
  • Create and follow the best practices and standards in the Business Intelligence toolset.
  • Create and maintain HTML and Java scripting.
  • Maintain user security.
  • Lead individual projects and deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert‑level support on the toolset.
Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human‑computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity, and three years of professional experience in: analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems applications;

or planning, acquiring, installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks; or generating and maintaining system software; or business analysis which may include defining and gathering business and functional requirements, analyzing and validating data and/or documenting test plans; or business analytics; or data analytics.

Education Substitution

Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year‑for‑year basis, with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester‑hour credits.
