Job Overview
Contract position, 12 months, starting 7/1/2026, ending 6/30/2027.
Must be a current Wisconsin resident. Remote work allowed but relocation not permitted. Hybrid options available.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop, deploy, maintain, test, and support websites built using Drupal.
- Create user‑centered websites that are 508 compliant.
- Work closely with users to understand requirements.
- Handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team environment.
- Explain technical concepts to non‑technical people.
- Learn new technologies or off‑the‑shelf software quickly.
- Prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Contribute to process improvement and bring new ideas to the table.
- Minimum 5+ years of Drupal experience (Drupal 7/8/9).
- Knowledge of PHP, Drush, Composer, Twig Templates, and Drupal CMS.
- Drupal site building, administration, patching, and maintenance.
- Drupal 7 to 9 migrations.
- Strong understanding of HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working on an Agile team.
- Familiarity with Linux/Apache and SSL certificate maintenance.
- Experience integrating SSO/LDAP into Drupal websites.
- Commitment to web standards and professionalism.
- Ability to troubleshoot common development issues.
- Self‑managed multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with business applications (email, calendar, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication; maintain positive relationships with agency staff and other groups.
- Collaborate with technical and non‑technical staff, translate business needs to website features and web application.
- Experience creating prototypes, wireframes, and mockups.
- Experience developing and testing for WCAG 2.0 AA web accessibility.
- UI/UX design experience.
- Information architecture knowledge.
- Use of Git for version control.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and web analytics.
- Experience using SOAP and REST APIs.
- Experience developing custom Drupal modules.
- Azure Dev Ops CI/CD.
