Job SummaryThe Presales Solutions Engineer– Network will work alongside Architects and account teams, serving as a network expert supporting customers, go‑to‑market initiatives, and sales. The role takes a consultative approach, leading discussions on network platforms, understanding how technology enables business, and recognizing opportunities for the company. This remote position, based in the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area, has a hybrid setup as determined by management.
Role Description- Collaborate with account teams to understand customers’ maturity levels and environments through review of network technologies, consumption, and implementations.
- Strengthen technical relationships with OEMs, strategic, emerging partners, and key partners.
- Educate and develop sales teams on Network solution selling and key technologies via 1x1 training, team training, and company training.
- Conduct product positioning and training for the Sales team and customers.
- Evaluate and understand customer data‑center environments and infrastructure technologies, design & propose tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners, staying updated on product information.
- Provide product training and technical education to the sales team and customers.
- Serve as a trusted IT advisor for customers, partnering with Field Account Executives.
- Manage the solution practice pipeline, developing strategies for top prospects and acquiring new business.
- Identify technology opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services spaces.
- Create solutions that meet customers’ needs and budgets through strategic planning.
- Engage multi‑layer client contacts (CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs) to ensure comprehensive account management.
- Educate sales teams on technical selling, product training, services, and technology trends.
- Presenting – design and deliver engaging presentations adapted to audience and medium.
- Negotiation – seek negotiation opportunities, initiate discussions, contribute to conflict resolution.
- Communication – effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences and facilitate communication.
- Detail‑Oriented – manage complex tasks or projects, identify errors, ensure quality.
- Organization – coordinate multiple projects, delegate tasks, use advanced tools.
- Follow‑Up – identify tasks requiring follow‑up, initiate actions, manage workflow.
- Problem‑Solving – identify potential problems, propose preventive measures, contribute innovative solutions.
- Relationship Building – expand networks, initiate collaborations, contribute to team cohesion.
- Documentation – develop comprehensive standards, implement best practices, support efficiency.

- Strong knowledge of technical network solutions (route/switch, LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, cloud edge, virtual networking, secure access, visibility).
- Intermediate ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and articulating value.
- Intermediate expertise with similar products from vendors such as Aruba, Juniper, HPE, Arista.
- Intermediate experience with software‑defined networking technologies: SDDC, SD‑WAN, SASE, SSE.
- Intermediate experience with Cisco networking products (switches, routers, wireless, Nexus, Meraki) and familiarity with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW).
- Strong knowledge of technical network solutions including route/switch, LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, cloud edge, virtual networking, secure access, network visibility.
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Cisco networking products.
- Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events.
- Advanced certifications (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, JNCIP, CASX, ACSP) are desirable.
The estimated annual pay range is $120,000–$230,000, including base salary and bonus, dependent on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
