Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Global IT Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise‑wide network solutions. The role requires on‑site presence. You will architect scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructures that support business operations worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in global architecture, routing and switching, WAN/LAN, and latency optimization to design high‑available, secure, and scalable systems that support enterprise‑wide digital operations.
Responsibilities- Design and maintain scalable, secure, high‑performing global network infrastructure using routers, SD‑WAN, switches, and related technologies.
- Lead planning and deployment of wireless network solutions, including wireless controllers, access points, and supporting infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain scalable network topologies across data centers, cloud environments, and remote offices.
- Define and enforce network segmentation strategies using VLANs, subnetting, and access controls.
- Establish global standards for network architecture, configuration, and security.
- Lead global network performance monitoring, fault isolation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with regional IT teams to deploy consistent solutions and ensure compliance with corporate policies and best practices.
- Ensure alignment with global security standards, including NAC, wireless encryption, segmentation, and access control.
- Monitor performance and engage vendors to minimize downtime and maximize ROI.
- Assist with vendor relationships and hardware/software procurement strategies.
- Drive lifecycle management of Cisco Enterprise hardware.
- Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Support global incident response for critical network outages or degradations.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP schemas, and change‑management records.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers and support teams.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, preferably in global enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on experience with switches, routers, wireless controllers, spanning‑tree, monitoring tools, alarms, and IPSec tunneling.
- Expert knowledge of IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and WAN technologies such as SD‑WAN, MPLS, VPNs, and cloud connectivity (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with advanced subnetting, VLANs, IP planning, and network segmentation.
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting (nice to have).
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder‑management, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCIE, AWS/GCP/Azure networking certifications.
- Cisco, Meraki, Extreme, Infoblox, Silver Peak SD‑WAN, Proxim, Starlink.
