An AI Automation and Advanced Analytics Expert starts the day by aligning priorities with business needs and ongoing digital initiatives, then focuses on developing and refining AI/ML and NLP solutions to improve project execution. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and IT to translate business challenges into data‑driven solutions, while managing data systems and generating actionable insights. Throughout the day, the expert drives digital transformation through automation, advanced analytics, and modern tools, while mentoring teams and promoting a data‑driven culture.
The day concludes with stakeholder updates, progress review, and planning next steps to ensure continuous improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of advanced data analytics solutions with focus on natural language processing (NLP) and ML techniques
- Support the implementation of data‑driven project execution methodologies across the engineering, bid management, project management and procurement disciplines
- Coordinate data integration and analysis requirements as well as solutions with IT
- Define required data integration and analysis capabilities for the organization – train the team
- Join the expert network across different business areas, including IT and stay up‑to‑date on latest data science and ML techniques
- Ensure effective communication with project stakeholders
- Manage databases, data systems, and warehouses supporting business analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
- Utilize analytical skills to collect, interpret, and analyze complex data from various sources, providing insights to drive strategic business decisions
- Develop and implement data collection systems, analytics, and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality, with a focus on achieving business excellence
- Drive the transformation into a digital controlling environment by implementing modern front‑end tools and promoting digitalization projects
- Master’s degree in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, statistics or comparable engineering/IT discipline preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in developing AI applications and integration of AI with existing applications
- Enthusiastic about unleashing the full potential of data, data analytics and AI/ML solutions in operative business processes
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., SQL and No
SQL) - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure and GCP)
- Excellent team player in global interdisciplinary teams
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks
- Open mindset to new technologies and enthusiastic to continuously learn
- Analytical mindset and a systematic style of working
- Fluent English is a must – excellent communication and presentation skill
