INTERNSHIP

DESCRIPTION

This rotational based role will have you rotating between support the Desktop & Laptop Enterprise Build center and Tech Express, The Hartford’s walk‑up technical support service team. You will assist with fast‑paced day‑to‑day management, build and deployment of computers (desktops and laptops) across our Hartford campus, learn and run scripts to install/load approved software packages, perform approved operating procedures and adhere to processes to complete a high volume of work with quality and consistency, replace broken hardware for end users (keyboards, mice, monitors), assist with maintaining and inventory management of technology assets, handle and move computer equipment up to 40 lbs.,

assist users with computer/software/printer issues in a fast‑paced environment, run Data Preservation for reclaimed computers, and may require a high degree of walking around our Hartford campus.

  • Engagement and leadership in school clubs, extracurricular activities, support or leading community or volunteer enrichment events preferred
LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP

1 Hartford Plaza, Hartford, CT or Virtual / Remote Work & Onsite

WORKING TIME / SCHEDULE
  • Monday – Friday, 20 hours. (Position is Part‑Time, Temporary)
  • Internship starts mid‑June and runs through mid‑August
  • Working hours vary, typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONSIDERATIONS
  • Reliable Transportation (for on‑site work, if required)
  • Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by the State of Connecticut and pass required background checks
COMPENSATION

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include short‑term or annual bonuses, long‑term incentives, and on‑the‑spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $17 – $18.
