IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst

Come work at the best place to give and receive care! We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst to focus on Hospital Billing with HB Admin Certification required. Epic Build experience and completion of the Epic Sphinx test are mandatory for all applicants.
Responsibilities- Implement, develop, and maintain the Epic system and associated third‑party systems.
- Research and configure systems to improve processes, add efficiencies, and promote patient safety.
- Promote the effective use and benefits of healthcare systems through heuristic design, leveraging clinical and business knowledge to inform workflow and system design.
- Embrace change, seek process improvements, and demonstrate innovative thinking.
- Take responsibility for actions, correct mistakes, and adhere to service excellence standards.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders, end users, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Apply general knowledge of the systems development life cycle to develop, test, deploy, and evaluate ongoing maintenance needs.
- Manage projects effectively, understand system development life cycles, and follow project management principles.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation, develop test scripts, and ensure builds meet departmental standards and end‑user approval.
- Provide on‑call support and participate in an on‑call rotation to support application needs.
- 4‑year Bachelor’s Degree or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience as an analyst implementing and testing vendor‑packaged software applications or healthcare operational experience in the relevant application area.
- Prior Epic experience (end user or analyst) is required for all levels.
- For levels 2‑4, current Epic training status (certification, accreditation, and/or proficiency) in primary applications is required, with additional training in maintenance and development for higher levels.
- Active vendor training status required.
- Strong experience as an analyst with expert knowledge of system analysis, project management, and business process reengineering.
- Experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and rapidly changing situations.
- Must be able to complete work through continuous use of a computer.
- Effective verbal, written, and virtual communication skills, including video meetings.
General schedule:
Monday–Friday, Eastern time business hours with some flexibility. The position participates in an on‑call rotation to support application needs, and occasional coverage of special events or staff requirements outside of normal hours may be necessary. The role requires a suitable virtual home office environment and permits occasional travel for go‑live installations or training.
