The RoleLumen’s Public Sector Technology Solutions Support team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solution Architect Manager to join our DoD Solutions Support team. The ideal candidate will possess over ten years of experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) space and experience managing personnel. A deep understanding of the EIS contract and other DoD contracts is essential. The professional must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
applicants may be subject to a government security investigation, and a DoD Top Secret clearance is preferred.
Hybrid position. Professionals residing in Virginia, Washington DC area, Maryland, or Colorado may work from home when not in the local office, estimated one to two days weekly.
Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of solution architects and engineers; manage performance and foster a collaborative, innovative work environment. - Solution Architecture:
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive technology solutions that meet strategic and operational needs of DoD clients; ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices. - EIS and DoD Contract Expertise:
Use in‑depth knowledge of the EIS contract and other DoD contracts to guide solution development and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. - Client Engagement:
Engage with DoD clients to understand their needs, articulate value, and establish long‑term relationships; serve as a trusted advisor and advocate. - Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the strategic vision for the DoD solution architecture practice; contribute to business planning, technology roadmap development, and resource allocation. - Technical Oversight:
Provide technical oversight to ensure architectural integrity and consistency across projects; review and approve technical designs in line with enterprise architecture standards. - Continuous Improvement:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices, process enhancements, and innovative solutions; stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and DoD requirements.
- Eligibility for access to classified information; potential government security investigation;
DoD Top Secret clearance preferred. - 10+ years in the DoD space with a proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions.
- Experience managing teams.
- Extensive understanding of the EIS contract and other relevant DoD contracts; ability to navigate and comply with contractual requirements.
- Strong foundation in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure; ability to discuss a wide range of emerging technologies and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience (military or private sector).
- Excellent communication skills—presentation, speaking, and writing—effective across diverse audiences including senior DoD officials.
- Proven interpersonal skills for building strong relationships that bridge technical and business functions; quick trust building with clients.
- Organizational agility; navigate and overcome business and technical hurdles, demonstrating benefits and operational paths needed for change.
- Comfortable working in direct and matrixed operating structures.

Compensation- $134,579 – $179,435 for Colorado.
- $140,994 – $187,982 for DC, MD, and VA.
