What you’ll do

The Global Data Analytics (GDA) Team at Docusign is seeking a Lead, results-oriented AI Architect to drive the design, development, and implementation of Agentic AI / Gen AI solutions. This role defines the strategic vision for AI initiatives, aligning them with business objectives and ensuring scalability, security, and performance. This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Director Data Engineering & Architecture.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive AI strategies and roadmaps aligned with core business objectives
  • Design robust, end-to-end AI architectures for complex applications and systems
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and architectural blueprints for all AI initiatives
  • Serve as the technical lead for cross-functional teams throughout the AI project lifecycle
  • Provide expert guidance on machine learning models, algorithms, and high-performance data pipelines
  • Manage seamless integration of new AI solutions with existing enterprise infrastructure
  • Instill and enforce best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance of AI systems
  • Architect scalable data platforms to support demanding AI/ML workloads
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks and data quality standards
  • Design and implement cloud-based AI infrastructure and deployment mechanisms
  • Proactively optimize system performance and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders to drive results
  • Translate business requirements into actionable, robust technical AI solutions
  • Present architectural designs and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
  • Mentor junior team members and promote AI literacy across the organization
Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required (Minimum 2 days/week; may vary by team).

What you bring

Basic

  • 12+ years of experience in software architecture and development
  • 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience
  • Experience with Python, R, Java, Scala, or C++
  • Experience with Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Keras
  • Experience with autonomous agents development and orchestration
  • Experience with graph neural networks (GNNs) and knowledge graph solutions
  • Experience with Lang Graph and CrewAI for multi-agent systems
  • Experience with Glean for enterprise search and knowledge management

Preferred

  • Proven track record leading large-scale AI implementations
  • Proficient across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, and Kubernetes (MLOps)
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch
  • Strong SQL, No

    SQL, Snowflake, and vector databases knowledge
  • Cloud data warehousing, data sharing, and analytics expertise
  • APIs development (REST, GraphQL) and microservices design
  • Data transformation, modeling, and testing experience
  • Workflow orchestration and data pipeline automation
  • Experience orchestrating collaborative AI agents and task delegation
  • Agent-to-agent communication protocols and workflow design
  • Enterprise knowledge bases and AI search, knowledge discovery, and workplace intelligence
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Leadership, team management, and strategic business acumen
  • Adaptable to new technologies;
    PhD in AI/ML strongly preferred
  • Industry certifications (e.g., AWS ML Specialty, Google Cloud ML Engineer)
  • Experience in NLP, Computer Vision, or Robotics
  • AI ethics, bias detection, and responsible deployment knowledge
  • Edge computing and IoT deployment experience
  • Familiarity with Auto Gen, Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel for agent development
Wage Transparency

Pay is based on location and experience. California: $ - $ base salary. Eligible for bonuses and RSUs as applicable.
