Watershed Security is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years of cybersecurity and government contracting experience. We are seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Annex (NSWCDD‑DNA) in Dam Neck, VA. The selected candidate will coordinate and enact required security changes across various levels of the organization, ensuring compliance with published policies;

conduct cybersecurity vulnerability and threat analysis; and serve as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE).

• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Five (5) years of full‑time professional experience performing Risk Management Framework activities
• Ability to maintain IAM‑II designation with at least one of the following active certifications: CAP, CASP‑CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC
• Demonstrated experience in all of the following areas:
  • Performing STIG assessments, including using SCAP benchmarks and Evaluate STIG
  • Performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool
  • Utilization and process execution within eMASS
  • Developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) entries
  • Completing RMF Step 5 authorizations in the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) capacity
  • Communicating risk‑reduction recommendations to stakeholders
• Clearance Level: SECRET; U.S. Citizen
• Potential onsite support in Dam Neck, VA (remote work may be an option depending on customer needs and classification level)
• Some travel may be required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Project). Self‑starter; detail oriented; able to brief senior‑level staff

• Experience supporting five or more Navy packages (achieving and/or maintaining ATO)
• Experience with Navy cybersecurity requirements and Navy compliance tools such as eMASS
• Experience with the NAVSEA RMF Business Rules

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 USD.
