Enterprise Data Architect - Remote
Location:
Remote – United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska)
This role focuses on designing and delivering secure, scalable data and AI platforms across the enterprise, supporting advanced analytics and AI‑driven capabilities. It is part of the SVP Enterprise Architecture leadership team and partners with Enterprise Data, bridging strategy and execution to ensure enterprise data is leveraged safely, effectively, and at scale.
Responsibilities- Facilitate designs and build solutions across the enterprise, evolving technical capabilities to deliver business outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, product, and program leaders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Lead and provide direction to Application Integration, Data, and Platform architecture vision for the enterprise.
- Contribute to the organization’s overall strategic vision on sophisticated projects.
- Integrate diverse ideas into technical and solution architectures, developing cloud migration strategies.
- Partner with business leaders to provide expert technical advice and influence strategic decision‑making.
- Assess industry trends (business and technology) and position subject areas accordingly.
- Provide thought leadership, create strategies, and recommend solutions on complex issues with significant strategic impact.
- Create, guide, and partner with other architects to develop and maintain roadmaps that align business strategies with capabilities.
- Deliver clear, pragmatic approaches that address immediate business needs.
- Demonstrate rapid learning of new information and systems, managing priorities, deliverables, and timelines with minimal escalation.
- Balance architecture principles with tactical schedules, cost, and risk.
- Leverage a mix of in‑house and outsourced resources to protect intellectual property.
- Design and evolve modern data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming) across cloud environments.
- Enable AI/ML use cases by supporting data pipelines, feature engineering, and model integration.
- Embed security and governance controls into data pipelines and platforms.
- Architect integrations across cloud platforms, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Define API and data access patterns for internal and external consumers.
- Establish standards for data ingestion, orchestration, pipeline management, observability, and data quality.
- Ensure platforms support high‑performance analytics and AI workloads.
- Implement lightweight but effective governance frameworks, balancing speed and control to support innovation.
- Translate architecture into implementable patterns and guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of systems development and business experience designing solutions across diverse systems and user groups.
- 5+ years of technical experience at a senior domain level in design, execution, and deployments.
- Experience with cloud implementations, preferably AWS.
- End‑to‑end leadership in defining and building solutions as part of project teams.
- Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and modern AI/ML platforms (Palantir, Data Robot).
- Experience with cloud‑native architectures, data pipelines, analytics platforms, and data modeling.
- Proficient with API design, integration patterns, streaming technologies, and data orchestration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and improve deployment/release pipelines.
- Leadership experience guiding engineers and architects.
- Actively shapes company culture through employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering, and cross‑functional projects.
- Shows a company‑ownership mindset and thinks beyond one’s own area.
- Willing to travel as needed for role, including division and team meetings and in‑person collaboration.
- Ready to invest extra time to fulfil business needs and support other teams.
- Base salary range: $186,660–$248,750 (location based).
- Annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of eligible pay.
- 401(k) plan with company match.
