Job Description Roles Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for administering business applications in the resale technology stack for OES, including Oracle Fusion ERP and its associated integrations.
- Partner with project managers, business analysts, database and network administrators, and security engineers on the administration of applications.
- Analyze applications for functions, features, data requirements, input/output requirements, checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and data interface capabilities.
- Plan, coordinate, and communicate changes, deployments, and upgrades of applications with stakeholders.
- Perform functional, performance, and smoke testing, installations, upgrades, and hotfix deployments of applications.
- Configure and support application interfaces for data integration with other applications or systems in the environment.
- Manage backups, storage, and integrity of application data or databases.
- Create, configure, and customize application reports.
- Manage user accounts and service accounts and associated roles and permissions.
- Provide Tier 2 and/or 3 support including investigating, resolving, and performing root‑cause analysis on incidents; provide escalated support for service requests, inquiries, and problems.
- Champion best practices and standard operating procedures regarding the use of applications with end users across the company.
- Collaborate with program managers, technology leaders, business‑side application owners, and other stakeholders on application capabilities, health, roadmaps, and strategies.
- Write and maintain documentation related to the application such as end‑user instructions, operating procedures, knowledge‑base articles, technical drawings, and system reference documentation.
- Partner with software vendors for escalated application support, bug reporting, feature recommendations, release‑document review, and related needs.
Education
- Associate’s degree in information technology or related discipline; experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Desired:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline.
Certification
- Certification in Application Administration for one or more enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle® ERP Cloud Certified Professional, Acumatica® ERP Certified System Administrator, Microsoft® 365 Certified Dynamics Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, ® Admin Certified).
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of business processes and workflows as they relate to enterprise and business applications.
- Proven experience administering ERP system permissions, custom configurations, scheduled upgrades, and unscheduled system updates for bug fixes, hotfixes, or security patches.
- Familiarity with ERP out‑of‑the‑box reporting tools, application integrations and interfaces, data conversions, and extensions.
- Vendor‑management skills, including monitoring vendor service level agreements and escalating support issues.
- 2+ years’ experience configuring, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and patching cloud‑based enterprise and business applications for a large organization.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, user and service accounts, tasks, jobs, and load balancing.
- Strong understanding of application deployment concepts, including utilization of multiple application or system environments (development, testing, staging, and production), testing, and rollbacks.
- Strong understanding of information‑security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, role‑based access control, principle of least privilege, auditing, logging, and permission management.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices, tools, and processes such as asset, access, incident, and problem management; change control; and service request fulfillment.
Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a computer screen; must be able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds on occasions. Occasional domestic travel by airplane may be required. This is a hybrid role with most time spent working from home; attendance at important meetings at the local DPR office is required.
