Online Support Technician

This part‑time position provides specialized support for the Canvas Learning Management System and collaborates with departments such as the Library and Testing Centers to support digital learning and testing environments. The role also includes remediation of documents for accessibility and handling other technical issues for faculty, students, and staff via phone, email, ticketing systems, and walk‑ins.

Applicants will be selected from a pool; positions become available as needs arise. After a set period, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

• Must be a current Weber State University student.
• Basic computer experience with Microsoft Office, Windows and Mac operating systems, and various browsers.
• Ability and willingness to learn from written and oral instructions, ask clarifying questions, and troubleshoot a variety of educational software issues.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Hands‑on training will be provided.

• Predominantly sedentary work with occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
• Requires use of fingers, hand, and wrist motions for repeated tasks.
• Visual acuity sufficient for reading, analyzing data, and using a computer terminal.
