Systems Analyst
Job Overview
Sentara Health is looking for an EPIC IT systems analyst to join our IT clinical team. This position is fully remote. The role involves day‑to‑day support and optimization of software applications, including builds, upgrades, and system enhancements. The analyst will analyze business/clinical needs, evaluate software releases or new products, and provide recommendations to optimize processes and reduce expenses. Responsibilities also include performing and documenting workflow assessments, developing system test plans, testing software upgrades and patches, managing problem, incident, and change requests, providing on‑call support, and coordinating project planning around software releases.

- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience in lieu of Bachelor's: 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience for those without a degree: 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Epic certification in Radiant required;
Cupid would be a plus.
- Experience with EPIC or a clinical background in cardiology required.
- Experience supporting Epic Radiant required;
Cupid would be a plus. - Hands‑on build experience in EPIC Radiant required;
Cupid would be a plus. - Ability to analyze business and clinical needs, evaluate software releases or new products, and provide recommendations to improve workflows and reduce costs.
- Strong background in business/clinical operations and application functionality, with hands‑on experience performing and documenting workflow assessments to determine functional requirements.
- Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support application integration that aligns with organizational and clinical goals.
- Skilled in developing system test plans and executing testing for software upgrades and patches, including maintaining detailed records of testing progress and results.
