Senior QA Engineer; Manual​/Automation - Business and Technology Insights

About the Role

Senior Test Engineer responsible for designing, building, reviewing, executing and automating test cases, ensuring quality across UI, API, and DB layers. Lead test planning, functional testing, regression suite maintenance, defect tracking, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop test plans & strategies and ensure test cases meet project goals and QA standards.
• Lead functional testing of new requirements and application enhancements.
• Maintain regression test suite and drive test execution.
• Identify, track, and prioritize defects, collaborating with technical teams for resolution.
• Manage design, execution, and reporting of functional and non‑functional tests (performance, DB, API).
• Ensure delivery of high quality, reliable, and performant products aligned with Quality Engineering goals.
• Provide clear status, metrics, risk assessment, and mitigation to meet commitments.
• Implement best practices and integrate modern technologies into testing frameworks.

• 5‑7 years of experience in software testing for web and/or mobile applications.
• Strong manual/feature testing skills and automation experience with UI, API, and DB.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and test automation tools such as Playwright.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, Git), and Dev Ops pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, defect management in JIRA, and test case management tools.
• Solid SQL skills and database testing experience.
• Strong analytical, ownership, and problem‑solving abilities.

• Hands‑on experience with JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Cucumber, Appium, Postman.
• Experience with AI‑driven testing and disaster recovery testing.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and performance/mobile testing.
• Experience with cross‑tool integration and deep understanding of design patterns.
