Piper Companies is seeking a Vulnerability Remediation Engineer to join a leading organization in the technology and cloud services industry. The Vulnerability Remediation Engineer will play a critical role in securing modern cloud-native applications and infrastructure, with a strong focus on identifying, prioritizing, and fully remediating vulnerabilities across AWS environments and Kubernetes platforms.
Responsibilities of the Vulnerability Remediation Engineer:- Triage, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
- Own remediation efforts within React and NodeJS codebases, ensuring security findings are thoroughly addressed.
- Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including network policies, RBAC, and container image security.
- Collaborate closely with development, Dev Ops, and security teams to embed a Dev Sec Ops mindset across the SDLC.
- Utilize vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Aqua, Qualys) to track, manage, and resolve risks.
- Automate remediation workflows and integrate security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring vulnerabilities and implement long-term fixes.
- Maintain documentation and reporting on remediation efforts and security posture improvements.
- 4+ years of experience in security engineering, Dev Sec Ops , or vulnerability remediation roles.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, specifically EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Hands‑on experience securing Kubernetes environments, including RBAC, network policies, and container security.
- Proven experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in JavaScript-based applications (React and NodeJS).
- Experience working with vulnerability management platforms such as Tenable, Aqua, Qualys, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Dev Sec Ops practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and resolve security issues in a fast‑paced environment.
- Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
