Data Analyst
Job Summary
The Associate Registrar for Systems and Analytics provides operational leadership and strategic support for student information systems, data governance, reporting, and analytics within the Office of the Registrar. This role is responsible for business process analysis, system optimization, reporting, and data integrity, ensuring that systems and data effectively support institutional operations, compliance, and decision‑making.
Essential Job Functions- Manage and oversee the operation, configuration, and optimization of the student information system (Workday Student).
- Coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and testing in collaboration with Technology and vendors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues related to the SIS and work with Technology to resolve technical problems.
- Support core Registrar functions, including the creation of program of studies, records, and degree audit, through effective system design and maintenance.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of student academic data.
- Develop and maintain data standards, documentation, and business process workflows.
- Participate in institutional data governance initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with institutional policies, FERPA, and applicable federal regulations.
- Manage National Student Clearinghouse enrollment reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc reports using Workday and other reporting tools.
- Analyze enrollment, retention, and graduation data to support institutional planning and assessment.
- Work closely with other departments (academic affairs, admissions, technology, and financial aid) to ensure alignment of data systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and improved system functionality.
- Provide training and support to staff and faculty on the use of systems and data reporting tools, promoting effective use of technology in academic administration.
- Contribute to the development of a long‑term strategy for data systems and analytics that aligns with the institutional mission and goals.
- Lead or support projects related to systems implementation, data integration, and analytics initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with institutional priorities.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Information Systems, Business) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Registrar’s Office, academic operations, or student services.
- Extensive experience with a Student Information System (SIS), preferably Workday.
- Proven experience managing complex data sets, building reports, and using Workday or other reporting tools.
- Master’s degree, often in Higher Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience leading system migrations or major technology implementations.
- Thorough knowledge of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and data privacy policies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to improve business processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for communicating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Extreme attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records.
This position is hybrid‑eligible with a combination of on‑site and remote work. Responsibilities are performed in a standard office environment, primarily involving prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and using a computer. Occasionally light to moderate lifting (up to 20–30 pounds) and manual dexterity with office equipment are required. Occasional bending, stooping, stretching, and walking may also be necessary.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly or annual salary range: $60,100.00 – $95,400.00. This is a benefits‑eligible position. Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, equity, and external market benchmarks.
