OLS Technology, an award-winning technology consulting and computer support company is looking for a Desktop Support Intern. We are a small firm, 29 employees, celebrating 30 years serving the needs of small to medium businesses in the Portland/Vancouver and Seattle metropolitan areas. Our customers rely on us to provide responsive, professional, customized service, with a positive attitude, and we take pride in doing just that.

skills you will need to be successful in this position are:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems
- Basic network troubleshooting knowledge/experience (wireless, routers, VPN)
- Understanding remote office software (Remote desktop connection, Zoom, Teams)
- General hardware/software troubleshooting
- Experience with ticketing and remote management software is a plus
- Provide technical assistance over the phone or in person for a wide variety of hardware, software, and customer specific applications.
- Install and support cybersecurity tools like MFA, password managers.
- Experience and proficiency in troubleshooting wireless and VPN connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues.
- Perform software upgrades and installation.
- Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices.
- Repair/recover corrupted or non-booting Windows installations.
- Experience with End Point Protection software.
- Enter all work as service tickets into Connect Wise.
- Accurate documentation of systems, processes, and ticket details.
- Maintain familiarity with industry best practices.
On top of that you'll need to be bi-lingual in both geek speak, and regular Joe tech talk so you can communicate with both your fellow technicians, vendors and the customers who will rely on you. You must get a kick out of solving problems, finding solutions, and giving such excellent customer service that your customers will swear you're their hero.
