DescriptionCipher Tech seeks Reverse Engineers/Malware Analysts who also love the traditional side of software development. The candidate will focus on conducting malware analysis and reverse engineering activities using static and dynamic tools to identify indicators and generate analytic reports.
Applicants will be tested on both software development and reverse engineering skills; most current positions require aptitude in both domains.
Requirements- Must be a U.S. citizen (no exceptions).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or closely related field, or be within 12 months of graduating.
- Advanced experience in software reverse engineering and/or software development.
- Experience with x86 and x64 assembly, C, and C++.
- Experience using static analysis tools such as IDA Pro and dynamic analysis tools including debuggers.
- Proficiency in Windows OS internals and APIs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in developing for IDA Pro.
- Experience in mobile development (Android, iOS).
- Experience with Linux and macOS operating systems.

Salary And Other CompensationHourly rate range: $43.27 – $79.33.

Digital forensics involves extracting evidence from computers, phones, tablets, cameras, flash drives, and other digital media for use in federal and military law enforcement, counterintelligence, and counter‑terrorism.
Malware reverse engineering aims to understand how malicious code works and determine facts such as:
- How it infects a victim’s computer.
- What information it seeks to steal.
- How it communicates with the author.
- Who the author might be.
As a federal contractor, this position requires vaccinations mandated by federal, state, and local law.
Important Security Clearance InformationA U.S. Government Security Clearance is required. If you do not already hold a clearance, sponsorship is possible but may be a multi‑year process.
