IT Consultant, Systems Analyst, IT QA Tester / Automation
What you will do
- Design and development of low-medium complexity automated test scripts.
- Execute automated test cases and report results.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand application functionality and testing requirements.
- Maintain and update existing automated test scripts. Ensure that automated tests are up-to-date with the latest application changes and enhancements.
- Follow automation best practices.
- Provide guidance to junior automation analysts, helping them improve their skills and understanding of automation.
- Create test designs; utilize best practices and methodologies to determine current and future solutions.
- Use analytical processes to understand issues and evaluate solutions.
- Demonstrate a testing background that will facilitate testing solutions for applications and products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-5 years Testing experience with 1-2 years in automation testing or equivalent automation training.
- Proficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts).
- In-depth understanding of and experience with requirement analysis.
- Strong experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG) along with debugging skills.
- Experience in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Good understanding of Gherkin test scenarios and feature files.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing approach, and end user requirements.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- Experience in UI/API functional testing.
- Experience in using JIRA, ZE management tools.
- Experience with SQL database querying.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze test results and identify issues.
- Good in design and estimation techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge or experience in the Retirement Industry.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Zephyr Enterprise, Browser Stack.
