Who We Are
Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is with the Enterprise Network Services area of DTMB within the Office of Chief Technology Officer.

Serve as the first level manager of professional technology positions in Network & Telecommunications Services (NTSD)/Network Services/Enterprise Network section. Oversee the Enterprise Network Services support team, responsible for the design, deployment and support of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Security services throughout SOM sites. Provide Tier 2/3 functionality for all WAN connectivity & security service operations and deployment throughout all SOM zones.
Responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery of WAN, security and Virtual Private Network (VPN) catalog services; managing team resources; managing the change control process for WAN, security and VPN; coordinating with other DTMB partners for service delivery, procurement and inventory control; and managing new equipment provisioning.
The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate to Michigan. DTMB offers a hybrid work option requiring two days onsite in Michigan and three days remote per week.

Signing BonusThis position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder after satisfactory completion of the initial 12‑month probationary period. This does not apply to current state employees.

Information Technology Manager, Information Technology Supervisor.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
ExperienceThree years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11, or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12. Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.
