Quality Assurance Lead (short-term)

Location: Remote – United States or Poland

Employment: Contract, ~5 months

An experienced Tester will drive application testing activities within Invela. The role involves defining and setting up test scenarios, executing them against internal and external properties, and compiling refinements and improvements. This role requires close collaboration with business development, marketing, engineering, customer service, and operations leaders to ensure the product meets market demands and customer requirements.

• Design, plan, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across Invela’s software products, ensuring alignment with business requirements and user expectations.
• Define and document test scenarios, scripts, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain test harnesses and structured testing environments to support repeatable, scalable UAT processes.
• Leverage AI tools to automate test case generation, execution, and reporting, actively championing AI adoption across the QA function.
• Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with engineering to ensure timely fixes.
• Produce clear, thorough testing documentation including test plans, test results, and sign‑off reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to validate that delivered features meet defined acceptance criteria and validate critical business workflows.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, frameworks, and tooling.
• Help translate qualitative, often non‑technical feedback from users into actionable reports and recommendations.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes to cross‑functional stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Support regression testing efforts and maintain a living library of reusable test assets.

• AI‑first mindset, with direct experience applying AI tools to automate and streamline software testing workflows.
• At least 5 years’ experience in software quality assurance or testing, with meaningful UAT experience.
• Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive test scenarios and build structured test harnesses from scratch.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Test Rail, Zephyr, or equivalents.
• Ability to build test automation using tools like Browser‑Use to ensure efficiency in testing.
• Experience in or exposure to fintech or financial services products.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into precise, actionable test cases.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce documentation suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple testing work streams simultaneously, and proactively raise risks.
• Comfort with API testing using tools like Postman and an understanding of SaaS product operating models.
• Familiarity and comfort with remote working environments.
