Senior Digital Forensics and Incident Response Engineer
Become a part of our caring community. The Senior Digital Forensics and Incident Response Engineer provides forensic technical expertise and investigative support to EIP Cyber Security defense stakeholders, assisting with incident response, remediation, and root‑cause identification.
Location RequirementsSelected candidate must reside within 60 minutes commute to one of the following metropolitan locations or be willing to relocate:
Louisville, KY; NYC Metro;
Dallas Metro;
Charlotte, NC Metro;
Tampa, FL;
Miami, FL;
Washington, D.C.;
Chicago, IL;
Boston, MA;
Atlanta, GA;
Nashville, TN.
- Work on moderately complex to complex forensic investigations requiring in‑depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Actively assess and correlate incident data to enable vulnerability identification and provide forensic analysis recommendations for remediation activities.
- Manage a real‑time forensic capability that collects, assesses, and analyzes data correlations, and facilitates the creation of detailed reports for EIP leadership.
- Influence department strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components with minimal direction.
- Exercise latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation with other team members.
- Occasionally travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings.
- 5+ years of Cyber Security experience.
- 3+ years of Digital Forensics and/or Incident Response experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with and/or investigating artificial intelligence systems.
- 5+ years of Digital Forensics experience, including FTK, Axiom, Encase, and other forensic tools.
- GIAC/SANS GCFE, GCFA, GIME, and/or GASF certifications.
- 2+ years of cloud forensics/incident response experience.
- 1+ year of experience investigating artificial intelligence systems.
- Must have a dedicated home office space with a high‑speed fiber, DSL, or cable modem.
- Internet speed requirement: minimum 25

- California residents working from home receive reimbursement for Internet expenses.
$117,600 – $161,700 per year (full‑time, 40 hours per week). Salary may vary based on geography and experience. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
