IT Project Manager, Technical Support, Systems Analyst

Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team. This role is for the Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization project within the Military Health and Veterans Affairs business unit Technical Project Manager will be tasked with supporting interface implementation, deployment, and post‑deployment support. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent client and project management skills, proven ability to perform hands‑on technical work when needed, and ability to lead projects and geographically disparate teams.
Candidate availability: work on site in the Arlington, VA office 1–2 days per week (hybrid role).
Basic Requirements- Experience leading IT design, development, test, deployment and sustainment
- Excellent communication skills
- 7 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or another related field or its equivalent
- Good understanding of Agile practices, processes, and ceremonies
- Experience using JIRA
- PMP certification is a plus
- Work independently and lead mid‑ to large technical teams with FTC customers from the beginning of the software development lifecycle through deployment and sustainment.
- Oversee and support the localization of systems to multiple sites at the VA.
- Manage between 1–5 moderate to highly complex systems at one time.
- Evaluate technical solutions with the technical team, manage day‑to‑day activities and report to the customer on a daily basis through several daily touchpoints.
- Brief executive‑level leadership on every aspect of design, development, test, IA posture, etc.
- Work closely with customers and business teams to identify business requirements, propose technically feasible solutions and set accurate expectations on effort and timelines for integration. Establish success criteria and act as the single point of contact for the customer for all technical issues and project deliverables.
- Submit change‑management documentation (Change Requests) for new work and provide accurate Level of Effort (LOE) estimates.
- Create and manage detailed project plans for customer integrations including timelines and effort estimates.
- Work closely with interface engineers, interface architects, engineering, product development and technical support to resolve issues that arise during the software development lifecycle.
- Track and document status and time spent on customer integrations.
- Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of integrations.
- Review quality of customer integrations.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Work LocationTria Federal operates primarily in the Eastern Time Zone with standard work hours from 9 AM – 5 PM ET and flexibility around start and end times based on team needs. Offices are located in Arlington, VA, and Baltimore, MD for those who prefer to work on‑site.
Work location requirements vary by program. While many roles support remote work, some projects may require partial or full on‑site presence based on contract and client needs. Specific work location expectations will be communicated during the hiring process.
