About the RoleDeel’s People Technology team sits at the intersection of people and product. We build internal systems and automations that power how thousands of Deelers get hired, onboarded, paid, developed, and supported. As Deel scales, manual processes no longer scale. This role focuses on building the automation layer that connects our people systems, eliminates manual work, and ensures data flows cleanly between platforms.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for automation and integration tools (Deel, Zapier, Jira, etc.) and their connection to people processes.
- Partner with People, Finance, Product, and other teams to design, build, test, and deploy new automations and integrations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and problem‑solver for stakeholders, balancing technical solutions with business needs.
- Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance user experience.
- Document and deliver training, support, and communication for new automations and process changes to the people team.
- Lead and participate in automation‑focused projects, including new tool rollouts, workflow audits, and integration enhancements.
- Build automation bridges between legacy systems and Deel’s proprietary solutions, ensuring data integrity and a smooth user experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a systems or operations role focused on building and maintaining automations using low‑code/no‑code platforms.
- Advanced, hands‑on experience with tools like Zapier (multi‑step zaps, paths, filters), Jira workflow automation, and Claude co‑work (or equivalent).
- Broad automation technology knowledge: API integrations, webhooks, data mapping, and reporting.
- Familiarity with people processes such as onboarding, performance, compensation cycles, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail, and the ability to see the broader picture.
- Excellent communication and people skills—able to translate technical topics into clear business language.
- Adaptability and a team‑player mindset; thrives in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Experience working in a global company is a plus.
- Bonus: scripting experience (Python, JavaScript), HRIS administration, or supporting transitions between people platforms.
- Salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On‑Target Earnings (OTE).
- Salary ranges are quoted in USD; offers will be localized to the applicant’s country.
- Final pay is based on objective, job‑related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
