We are a family‑owned Managed Services Provider hiring a System Engineer to handle mid‑ to high‑level technical issues across multiple small and mid‑sized business client environments.
This role is ideal for someone with MSP experience who has moved beyond standard Tier 2 support and is ready for more ownership across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, applications, and smaller technical projects. You will support escalated tickets from the service desk, assist with mini‑projects, and continue building toward more specialized work in projects, security, networking or cloud infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITI- Handle escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 tickets from the service desk.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and application issues.
- Support client environments across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, users, permissions, and related configuration.
- Log into servers to check services, review logs, apply updates, support file sharing and troubleshoot line‑of‑business applications.
- Perform basic firewall, router, switch, VPN, and network troubleshooting.
- Assist project engineers with defined project tasks and smaller client requests.
- Support mini‑projects such as SSO setup, application updates, endpoint changes, policy updates, Microsoft 365 changes, and small client roll‑outs.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and client environment updates clearly.
- Experience working for a Managed Service Provider or multi‑client IT support environment.
- 3+ years of IT support, escalation support, or systems administration experience.
- Strong Tier 2 or Tier 2.5 background handling escalated technical issues.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file sharing.
- Ability to perform basic server administration and troubleshooting tasks.
- Familiarity with firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and business networking concepts.
- Experience supporting line‑of‑business applications from a troubleshooting and maintenance perspective.
- Strong documentation, communication, and client‑service skills.
- Power Shell scripting or automation experience.
- Exposure to Azure, Intune, Entra , SSO, or cloud identity tools.
- Experience assisting with Microsoft 365 migrations, server upgrades, application updates, or infrastructure changes.
- Previous project exposure or interest in growing into project engineering, security, networking, or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with database administration, application licensing, REST APIs, or advanced application monitoring.
- EFITS $80,000 – $100,000 s
